This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (jlrtradeservices.com), how we use it, how we store and protect it, how long we retain it, and your rights to access or correct your information.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit a form on our website:

Quote Enquiries (Request a Quote form)

Full name, telephone number, email address, suburb or project address, project type (commercial/industrial or residential), service requested, job description and scope, approximate dimensions or quantities, preferred timing, and any attached photos, plans, or sketches (up to 10 files, maximum 15 MB each). For Labour Hire enquiries, we also collect the number of workers required and preferred start date.

Careers Applications (Work with Us form)

Full name, telephone number, email address, suburb, role of interest, tickets and licences held (White Card, forklift, EWP, and others), experience summary, and an optional resume document (PDF or DOC format, maximum 10 MB).

We do not collect payment details, credit card numbers, or sensitive financial information through this website.

3. Purpose of Collection

We collect and use your personal information solely for the following purposes:

To assess your project requirements and prepare a detailed quotation or proposal.
To contact you to discuss your scope of work or arrange a site visit.
To assess expressions of interest and job applications for current or future employment opportunities with JLR Trade Services.
To communicate with you regarding your enquiry or application.

We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing or sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.

4. Storage and Security

Your submissions are stored in an encrypted relational database provided through our secure hosting infrastructure. Files and documents you upload are stored in an encrypted object storage repository. All data in transit between your browser and our website is protected by TLS encryption (HTTPS).

Submissions are accessible only by authorized personnel of JLR Trade Services Pty Ltd via a password-protected administration portal. Access credentials are encrypted, and individual submissions can be removed from the system.

5. Data Retention Policy

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected:

Quote enquiries and project attachments: Retained for 2 years from the date of submission, to allow for follow-up, pricing comparison, and reference in connection with project warranties or future scopes, after which they are permanently deleted from our records.
Careers applications and resumes: Retained for 1 year from the date of submission, to consider applicants for emerging labour and trade vacancies, after which they are permanently deleted.

You may request earlier deletion of your records at any time by contacting us as described below.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use select third-party service providers to deliver our website and communications:

Email notifications: Handled by Resend (transactional email service), which receives notification copies of form submissions to deliver them to our administration inbox.
DNS and network security: Managed through Cloudflare, which provides domain resolution and SSL/TLS protection.
Hosting infrastructure: Provided through Manus, which hosts the website server, encrypted database, and encrypted object storage.

These providers process data on our instructions and are subject to their own data protection obligations.

7. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics (Umami) to understand aggregate visitor traffic patterns (such as page views and general geographic regions). We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site advertising pixels, or third-party tracking networks.

8. Your Rights: Access, Correction and Deletion

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

Request access to any personal information we hold about you.
Request the correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date personal information.
Request the permanent deletion of your personal information from our active records.
